NDP 2008 Logo; A Disappointment

Just saw the news featuring the new NDP 2008 Logo and its HIDEOUS! I mean last years logo was fantastically and conceptual. 

This years' its a disappointment having said that the Description of the logo "children reaching for the stars" its more like the children shooting stars.. and the tagline is so contradicting to the logo visual, if u're trying to deliver the message then it is much suggested that you use different colours.  And just looking at the ndp video which is totally a failure. if you are trying to have the idea of the ipod ads which is very good... u either copy and improve or do almost the same which will be a better way to deliver the msg... watching it you will realise that the graphics are too contradicting to the dancing silhouette and its so poorly done it look like a low budget video for a dance studio... the music too is too eeeeeeeee.... 

The whole idea its too amateur... Just look at how apple do the ad.

Having said that here is a few of the past years logo which i think its s much better compare to this years even just a logo design 4-5years has a winning design than this years.
